Okay, so I obviously made it back from Burning Man. I have a few rants, but I first have to get this bit off my chest...
I worked at Cafe Friday night on the 11-3am shift. After standing in my line for about ten minutes, an older lady, impaired in at *least* one way, and her two drunken friends show up at the front of my line. The proceed to ignore me, arguing among themselves, while Older Lady dumps out the *entire* contents of her oversized purse onto my counter. I'm trying to take their order, she still (after having the entire line's wait to look for it) can't find her money, and snaps at me. Having finally (after several minutes) found her money, she then changes her order on me at least three times, finally settling angrily on tea, since it was obviously MY personal decision not to serve decaf on the playa. The then rips the teabag from its packet, and throws it at me, to which I say "It's your tea bag, it's your MOOP." Her male friend grabs it, but Older Lady decides to pitch a huge fucking fit, I eventually take it back so she'll *get out of my line*, and she then spends the next five minutes ranting to one of the DPW guys at Cafe about how I was out of line, she shouldn't have to pick up her own MOOP because she's Extra Special(tm), and that I should be fired.
I think she thought she was at Starbucks or something. I'm a volunteer; I can quit, but they can't fire me. Needless to say, it put a damper on my night. The Thunderdome crew were next in line and *had* to have seen it all.
Next, we have the after-burn bitching, but that's going to be several sub-threads here, I think.
